sweets and lollies and sugary treats

We would like to remind all parents not to include fizzy drinks, chewy sweets or lollies or confectionary in packed lunches. We are really striving to embrace and encourage healthy eating, especially with regard to the current health concerns regarding obesity and tooth decay in children. We would now like to advise parents also to not bring these type of items to celebrate a child’s birthday. We will still welcome a birthday cake to share together, so we can sing and put candles on to celebrate. (we stress that this is not compulsory and we will always make a cake for children who do not bring their own).
